Matthew is the Executive Vice President, Product of Auth AI at Availity. He spent nine years in the Army in light and mechanized infantry units including the 2nd Ranger Battalion. He served as an Infantry Company Commander in 2003 during the invasion of Iraq followed by counterinsurgency operations in the Sunni Triangle. Matt brought his Army operations experience to the healthcare industry and has been focused on solving the problem of prior authorizations and utilization management for the past 15+ years. He spent 14 years helping scale a services company from $20M to the largest healthcare benefit services company. Matt served as Head of Call Center Operations, Director of Product Operations, Chief Information Officer, and lead integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions. His last role included heading innovation efforts to automate the prior authorization workflow. Matt is President for Vantage Point Foundation which focuses on assisting post-9/11 veterans and their families transition to civilian life. Matt and his family reside in Bluffton, South Carolina, where he is often found kite surfing above the ocean.
